Uitje!

Last nite, our research lab had organized our uitje (outye) or outing. Nothing much, we just roaming around endlessly in the city of Amsterdam. Had a typical talk (plus gossiping) .... (alahaiii apalah sgtnya gosip depa ni .... kalau makcik2 jual kain gosip lagi hebat - mau tabik springnya ...). After strolling around (on foot) - jauh jugak menapaknya ..... tp diorg ni tak letih-letih, we stopped at the Casa di David restaurant, for our dinner. It is an Italian restaurant, and full packed with people.

The Casa di David (literally, House of David ~ rumah si Daud ..heh..heh)

Casa di David is one of Amsterdam's best Italian restaurants and famous for its pizzas (tak main laa pizza je kan ....) . The restaurant is based in the centre of town close to the flower market, but not on one of the main tourist routes. The interior is quite dark, but it is really nice and cozy. Actually we planned to have a nice canal view, but those seats only manage to cater up to eight seats in a row.

The Goblet of Light. (pandai la yeeee).

Since this dinner is fully sponsored by the research lab, it will be a great pleasure for each and everyone of us to have a very descent meal (descent meal ? ... tengok semua dah sampai tahap menketedarah ni....).

For this Uitje's dinner, I had;

• appetizer: Egg salad with asparagus
• main course: mixed grilled seafood
  
• dessert: alcohol free tiramisu
• drink: apple juice, ...... endless refill and a cup of black coffee

My main course: Mixed grilled seafood
(ambik ngkoooooo ..... nasib baik habis. biasalah kan i)

Since i'm not too restrictive myself with foods (as long as halal), i can say the taste is quite awesome (dah free lagi mau komen yee)..... especially the tiramisu..... it is superb.

Everything works well for me, until Danielle asked me to sing some Malaysian songs to her. Alamakkkkkk ..... ! ... since i don't want to let her and our team down, ending me up with the Burung Kakak Tua & Engkau Laksana Bulan songs. (sorry la ye, tak tau sangat lagu lain - dah la pitching lari ..heh..heh..heh)....... abislaa jadi artis mee segera kat sini. Anyway, we enjoyed ourself that night. After we had our dinner, we went to one of the cafes nearby, to enjoy the canal view. Cantik rupanya pemandangan malam2 ni .......
