Salam & Good day !
When Susan Boyle (47) first appeared on Britain's Got Talent, audiences and judges were cynical. Well, what do you expect from a person that was born with mild brain damage, looked after her parents until the day they died. Her homely appearance caused the judges and audience to be so typical. Waiting her to be humiliated. But, instead, 37 millions were thrilled with her beautiful voice. From the opening notes of I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables, which nailed all cynical judges and those audience who sneered her, to the wall because she wasn’t groomed, is expected to make her wealthy. She is a just an average Jane, flawed and vulnerable person but she is a person who nevertheless has the determination to fight for her dream.
"Modern society is too quick to judge people on their appearances. There is not much you can do about it; it is the way they think; it is the way they are. But maybe this could teach them a lesson, or set an example." Susan Boyle (The Washington Post)
When Nik Nur Madihah Nik Mohd Kamal (18) scored 20As for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia, nobody knows how difficult her life is. Again, just an average Jane, struggles for her dream, to be a physicist. The success of this student from Sekolah Menengah Agama Arab Maahad Muhammadi (P), Kota Bharu, Kelantan is made rather magnificent despite her life's shortcomings, with no scholarship despite her earlier achievements, and her decision not to go to boarding school as her family cannot afford it. She could not afford to take private tuition with her parents small income. In a greater magnitude, she has proved that poverty is not an obstacle to success. Her recipe for this is simple; to strive and strategically study, and if a problem arise to quickly consult the teachers and the rest is to leave it to God's will.

Well, people might be saying, both of them are lucky or such a thing. But, it is not all about those stuffs. Both of them have dreams to follow. But most of us, will always say something such as luck, in a presence to simply deny that probably we are not putting much effort on it. To deny our weaknesses, and not to overcome it. As usual, always point fingers and blame something. Sometimes it is out of proportion, not to realise we are eventually capable of doing something extraordinary. I know i will not be able to score that damn good straight As in my subjects (even if i have the time turner gadget ;-) ), but what i have to do is to find the best out of me. Not saying that i have really found one, but at least i know where this road will lead me. We just an average Joe and Jane, but there is a hidden talent not to be missed. For both, Susan Boyle and Nik Nur Madihah, your are our living proof, there is a dream that worth to be followed. Best of luck? noooppss.... all the best!. ;-)

A very good reminder.
Thank you very much. =)
Bg kja Susan Boyle mgkn tak ckp cantik mengikut kriteria manusia lain, tp the fact that dia berjaya menjaga parents dia sampai depa passed away, itu sudah ckp utk menjadikan dia seorg yg cantik dan indah di mata kja.. Hmm.. dengarnya dia enggan dimake over.. bertambah cantiklah dia di mata kja!!
BTW, dah tengok ni? Shaheen Jafargholi..

sometime we overlook the priority, 1st thing 1st. I think adik Nik Nur Madihah know her priority. I doubt that at adik Nik Nur Madihah house's got TV. and for sure no chance to watch OIAM, AF or even Melodi. So is no lagho (poye-poye), jz helping his parents and adik, study and more important is always dekat kepada Allah, and not to forget hormati guru.. jz my dua sen..
Yes, Susan's voice was stunningly melodious during her appearance in TV! I guess we all fall into the 'cynical' category. Being too quick to judge, too soon to criticise, and too slow to appreciate.
Psst... from your look, you doesn't seems to be able to sing. Now, stun us with your talent. ;-P

Dreams Are Seedlings of Reality
All who have accumulated great fortunes FIRST did a certain amount of DREAMING + HOPING + WISHING + DESIRING and PLANNING before they acquired it.
