I came across one of the sites, and find it worth sharing. A simple yet wonderful story about struggle. To be exact, it is merely about a cocoon, and a butterfly, but it touched me deeply. I hope it touches you too.
"A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force it's body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no farther. So, the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But, it had a swollen body, and small shrivelled wings. He continued to watch the butterfly, because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to support the body, which would contract in time.

Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of it's life crawling around with a swollen body and shrivelled wings. It was never able to fly. What he had done in his well intentioned kindness and haste, what he did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required to get through the tiny opening were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into it's wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved it's freedom from the cocoon. Sometimes, struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If God allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as we could have been. And we could never fly. Have a great day, a great life, struggle a little if you need to...then fly!"
Pakcik said: In many ways, obstacles are always depriving us away from happiness. Yeap, help is needed, but sometimes we need to do something on our own. Quite a few people tend to be a bit lazy, so they would rather you just keep giving them help than be bothered to learn how to solve their problem themselves, which is sometimes unfortunate. Like Lao Tzu says "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and he'll eat forever."

suka 'pakcik said' tu...setuju sgt2!
kat tepi blog tu pic baru azizi ke? makin sihat lepas balik malaysia ni...hehe
Yeah, we got to solve our own problems, just like when we try to solve the problem of how to put those yummilicious soft shell crabs into our mouth. kan?
I've heard this little story before but the impact of its reflection to real life resonates as much as I've heard it the first time. Indeed, struggling can be better than idling in despair....
Have a nice day, buddy.
eq - itulah. makan byk sgt. (all the time pun makan byk ;-) )

Salam and greetings,
That’s a good one, Azizi…Life! That’s the beauty of it. There were times, no matter how hard we’d tried, things just weren’t good as hoped, wondering any better than this?, but let say it is just another day, not one of ours, God knows best! Things might be great tomorrow but hopeless yesterday, just the way it is. BUT sometimes there are little things, we never thought that they’d mean everything to us.
Obstacles?..yup!..there’s a million reasons for us to give up, but excuses are just demons we must learn to fight off. There are always hopes and fear, a little bit of laughs and little bit of pain along the way, but as long as thers faith in us, take all the strength we have, do it whatever it takes, we’ll make it through, InsyaAllah. Nobody would tell us that it’s gonna be easy, it might take days, ..years or even pain! but at the end of it…”I can smile at the old days” - quoting Azizi’s favourite line ;-) …Verily, after hardship comes ease, I so much believe that.
Anyway, all the best to ALL in whatever you’re pursuing. Aja Aja Fighting!
Mmg kekdg kita fikir dgn menolong tu, kita membantu.. Tp kekdg kita tersilap.. Kita lbh membantu bila kita tak menolong..
Dah pernah terjadi dlm hidup kja.. so I know!!
