When the date strikes , people will shout each other a very Happy New Year. It might be no more than a change of a calendar, or something symbolizes the beginning of a better tomorrow. As usual, we will draw some resolutions, a pile of it, - to be achieved, to be grabbed, or whatever, or just a typical new year chore. As usual, we will again, trap into a finite loop. Endless. ;-). Yeahhh, the New Year is a good time to make resolutions. That's new year. For the New Year, hope as well as challenges, is something that may shattered by our tantrum, - by looking into our past, and listening to the rhythm of life. With or without our will, time flies very fast. Nothing we could do to stop that.

My resolutions? I do have plenty of it. But, a typical cliche' - i just want to be a better person. A person with missions. A person to change the world (woww.... am i?). Nothing special. A better person. So, what is your resolution? To all, Happy Ma'al Hijrah 1430, and Happy New Year 2009. May God bless you* by the way, "gelukkig nieuw jaar" means "happy new year" - in dutch language.

what coincidence ; at the end of 2008: we just celebrated ma'al hijrah 1430 and now we are moving ahead to the new year 2009. we actually one year older in islamic calendar...so knowing we are such and such age...in actuality we are older than that, and the time left to us getting shorter. may all of us could use whatever we have now in order to have more what we still do not have. Salam ma'al hijrah buat Azizi and Selamat Tahun baru 2009.

Happy Double New Year sir...
When I was a little boy, I had always been excited and anxious staring at an empty white drawing block imagining the strokes and the colours, both the clever and the silly choices and the makeover that were to follow. As an adult now I'm seeing the new year as I saw the blank art block back then. The same old feeling that must've been felt by millions of others.
