Makan Makan Time.

Alooooo ..

Semalam diriku dijemput bersama-sama dengan anak-anak dari Indonesia, untuk menjamu selera sihh .. kenyang banget. Makanan pun enak-enak. (abislaaahh lepas ni cakap bahasa malaysia pun bunyi macam org indonesia). Being the only Malaysian here is actually is a bless though. I mean, you are free to mix around, since you're not hooked with a single community. But, you miss many things, ..'

The best thing closer to home that i have here is, our neighboring community ~ students from the Republic of Indonesia. I met many of them during Jumaat prayer, and join them for a couple of occasions. A bit struggling to catch their accent, but at least we are sharing many great things here. Last night, we organized a simple dinner, to bid farewell to our friend ~ Purbo, who will be leaving us this Sunday. He is heading back to Indonesia, after completing his postdoctoral research in geology at Vrije University Amsterdam. The best part, he is a good cook. He cooked lamb curry and lamb chop. Yes, the taste is awesome.

I didn't snap the pics of the main dish, since i was concentrating (with my meals) ..heh..heh..heh. and the funniest part, they played one of the good-old day songs ~ "isabella" - the song that hit the billboard for last ten years back. "dia isabella, lambang cinta yang lara .. terpisah kerana, adat yang berbeza .. cinta gugur bersama, daun2, kekeringan ... " - cewahhh jiwang rusted la pulak. and , they sang Datuk Siti Nurhaliza songs as well... plus with their keroncong's songs.. young heart .. young soul but manage to preserve those classical musics. Something that our teenagers do not have. (i joined them with the Bengawan Solo ~ popularized by Hetty Koes Endang and Anneke Gronloh).
