Salam & good day.
On the first day of my lecture, normally i will ask my students, why you are here (note: in that class). For sure, they will say things, "pre-requisite for another subject, compulsory subject, and so forth". I will smile, i know those stuffs. After all, it is my task to correct their false belief. Contrary to popular belief, we think we know what we want. But, think twice, then you will agree, sometimes we choose just to follow the flow. It happens in many facets of our life. Pretty hard to explain, it is true. What concerns me most, how do we know what we really want?
For example, when you are working with something require your patience, virtue and mental faculty, yes it is easy to say, "stay focus" while sometimes part of you is running away, it runs amok. We tend to lose our patience when we're multi-tasking or when we're on a tight schedule. If we are stretching ourselves too thin, you should reconsider your to-do list before we attempt to change your natural reaction to an overwhelming situation. How to overcome this?
Well, let's turn back to the very beginning. "to know what you want"
It is probably your childhood dream, probably a well-defined requirement, .....
or, again, because many people did that, so do i.
Trust me, the later will solve nothing.
Inevitably, there are times when we find ourselves in the worst case scenario.
What we want to know, "is there hope?".
When that thing happens, clinging to hope is all we have got left.
The last thing about "is there hope" could offer a good solution is when you really know what you want. Trust me. Remember what matters. "know what you want".

of course we must know what we want, but do most of us really put our thoughts into what we need?
what we want cud define what we need, thus who we are.
chareen - sometimes, people have no idea what is actually they are really want. :-)
zampeada - yup. but do they?
